…comes with admitting your mistakes and then learning from them.

Can’t plane the players; the offensive coordinator and the Coach got too conservative…maybe the Coach was afraid of getting burned by FSU and subconsciously rolled over but going conservative once Michigan State stopped the Buckeyes offense at the end of the third quarter was a drastic mistake similar to so may other times in  the past when our coaches failed to rise to the occasion. Playing to not lose in the fourth quarter with a small lead usually ends up badly and this is no exception. Congrats to Michigan State!

What’s Going to Happen Soon…

This is the year where the remainder of a very largely hidden iceberg that began with the downfall of Scott Rothstein really becomes more visible.

Private citizens (the little fish) will continue to take plea bargains to get to the real bad guys- the people who use police power, the most sacred of all trusts, to control their world- acting as judge, jury and executioner.

An example of such a small fish is my ex-partner Doug Bates who will soon be arrested and take an already negotiated plea bargain for his role in the criminal conspiracy and kidnapping of his ex-wife and for providing due diligence to Rothstein investors as part of the ill-fated Ponzi scheme. Bates significantly will trade off a shortened sentence in exchange for his testimony against Jeff Poole, thereby freeing his wife and child from the island sanctuary residence he moved to two years ago to protect himself anf them as best as possible from Poole knocking him off.

Many BSO Officers will also plea bargain, including many of the rank and file who were privy to the utilization of the Cooper City BSO holding facility as the place undercover BSO officers and others so often took suspects to beat them into confessions that were used for convictions. Surely many hundreds of cases are tainted because of these illegally obtained confessions of beaten up suspects, an interesting area for some sociologist to study by the way. Memories of the days in the 80’s when the Hollywood Police Department allowed it’s cops to stop the elevator between the first and second floors in order to beat up people who had been arrested, a well known situation the Feds brought down comes to mind.

Perhaps even Scott Rothstein will point a finger at Poole for murdering the women who were working at his office, one of which allegedly committed suicide; the second of which was allegedly murdered by a man who has yet to be prosecuted (because he is innocent).

There would be little doubt that the higher ups in the Broward Sheriff’s office including ex-Sheriff Lamberti knew of much of this and will fall. Certainly Satz, in office for 36 years has always played political games to benefit himself and his welloff friends in the Broward 100, better known as the Emerson Allsworth Gang.

Perhaps we can hope for a wholesale cleanup of Broward County flushing down the toilet not only the bigger names but some of the riffraff including more than one corrupt Judge in way over his/her head, one of which a female family court judge who allowed at least one child I personally know to be returned to an unsafe household for the right price.

Keep your eyse open the chance won’t come again.

Freedom is what we seek…Song of the Day, Dylan’s “Chimes of Freedom””

Words that define freedom in a way that should be used in dictionaries, in  a way that should be used to educate our young, Here are these words:

Far between sundown’s finish an’ midnight’s broken toll
We ducked inside the doorway, thunder crashing
As majestic bells of bolts struck shadows in the sounds
Seeming to be the chimes of freedom flashing
Flashing for the warriors whose strength is not to fight
Flashing for the refugees on the unarmed road of flight
An’ for each an’ ev’ry underdog soldier in the night
An’ we gazed upon the chimes of freedom flashing.

In the city’s melted furnace, unexpectedly we watched
With faces hidden as the walls were tightening
As the echo of the wedding bells before the blowin’ rain
Dissolved into the bells of the lightning
Tolling for the rebel, tolling for the rake
Tolling for the luckless, the abandoned an’ forsaked
Tolling for the outcast, burnin’ constantly at stake
An’ we gazed upon the chimes of freedom flashing.

Through the mad mystic hammering of the wild ripping hail
The sky cracked its poems in naked wonder
That the clinging of the church bells blew far into the breeze
Leaving only bells of lightning and its thunder
Striking for the gentle, striking for the kind
Striking for the guardians and protectors of the mind
An’ the poet an the painter far behind his rightful time
An’ we gazed upon the chimes of freedom flashing.

In the wild cathedral evening the rain unraveled tales
For the disrobed faceless forms of no position
Tolling for the tongues with no place to bring their thoughts
All down in taken-for granted situations
Tolling for the deaf an’ blind, tolling for the mute
For the mistreated, mateless mother, the mistitled prostitute
For the misdemeanor outlaw, chased an’ cheated by pursuit
An’ we gazed upon the chimes of freedom flashing.

Even though a clouds’s white curtain in a far-off corner flashed
An’ the hypnotic splattered mist was slowly lifting
Electric light still struck like arrows, fired but for the ones
Condemned to drift or else be kept from drifting
Tolling for the searching ones, on their speechless, seeking trail
For the lonesome-hearted lovers with too personal a tale
An’ for each unharmfull, gentle soul misplaced inside a jail
An’ we gazed upon the chimes of freedom flashing.

Starry-eyed an’ laughing as I recall when we were caught
Trapped by no track of hours for they hanged suspended
As we listened one last time an’ we watched with one last look
Spellbound an’ swallowed ’til the tolling ended
Tolling for the aching whose wounds cannot be nursed
For the countless confused, accused, misused, strung-out ones an’ worse
An’ for every hung-up person in the whole wide universe
An’ we gazed upon the chimes of freedom flashing.

The concept of freedom is so elusive when our media provides such a narrow perspective. And is it really what we want? It seems as if freedom scares most of us.

Well, now that Scott Israel has taken the first steps in bringing to justice BSO Officer Jeff Poole, perhaps F.B.I. Agent Stout and United States Assistant Attorney Lawrence LaVecchia are exploring their coercive and illegal interference in unrelated matters I had which were pending before The Florida Bar. No doubt their pride had been wounded when I refused to give up my First Amendment right to speak despite being threatened by Stout. But what they illegally did was inexcusable and just what this country is supposed to stand against.

At this point in time, there can be no doubt that the interview I gave to Bob Norman about what my wife went through at the hand of thugs including Jeff Poole, Scott Rothstein, and Douglas Bates swayed some voters to vote for Israel in the closely contested Broward Sheriff’s race. There also can be no doubt that Israel’s use of the interview during the later stages of his campaign also swayed some voters to vote for him as well. While there is no way to know if the interview and it’s subsequent use by Isreal was  the deciding factor in who won, it sure was better than doing nothing, as the good peope in the Justice Department wanted me to becasue of their egos.

With Israel in place and willing to take a close look at those Broward Sherriff employees who abused their power, the job of the Justice Department is now obviously easier. Had former Sherriff Lamberti won his re-election, prosecutions involving out of control Sherriff employees would have been obstructed at every turn. Indeed, no such prosecutions hvae been initiated to date despite many obvious choices. So yes thank you Justice Department. You will win these cases hands down now (as you always would have) so maybe now is the time to file them. Or shoud we have to wait until Hell freezes over?

The responsibility for Stout, Lavecchia and other persons having directly effected my career by becoming involved in matters that were none of their business in order to punish me for refusing to knuckling under rests on them. These people who cloak themselves in self rightgeousness, owe me an apology and action insofar as reversing the effect of their vengeful and illegal interference.

But I won’t hold my breath.

Sleep well gentlemen, sleep well.
